When Miaka, Tamahome, Keisuke, and Tetsuya visit the grave of Takiko, the one-time priestess of Genbu, Tamahome mysteriously vanishes back into the Universe of the Four Gods. When he arrives at the palace in Konan to see what has happened, he realizes fifty years have passed since he was last there, and Hotohori’s grandson is now the Emperor.
